Introducing Cardiologist Alexandru (Andrei) Stoian, MD, FACC, FCCP

Dr. Stoian is the Medical Director of Cardiology Services at CPH. He earned his medical degree from the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania, and after a year of anatomic pathology studies completed a residency in internal medicine and cardiology at City Hospital Center in Elmhurst, NY, of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY. He then completed a fellowship in cardiology, becoming Chief Fellow, at the same institution.

He is Board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, critical care, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. In addition to his CPH duties, Dr. Stoian holds an academic appointment with the University of Vermont as Assistant Professor.

An avid soccer player who at times coaches youth soccer locally, Dr. Stoian is also an advocate for children's health, particularly promoting healthy lifestyles and development.
