CPH Hosts SVPC Mischief Room, May 7, 2019

[Display 'room' containing 55 hidden drug references and
storage spaces, presented by Seaway Valley Prevention Council.]

Potsdam, NY – St. Lawrence Health System's Canton-Potsdam Hospital will host a Mischief Room on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm in Conference Rooms A and B, 50 Leroy Street, Potsdam. Speakers from Seaway Valley Prevention Council and Canton-Potsdam Hospital's Behavioral Health Department will also host discussions on substance abuse amongst the young.

The Mischief Room is an educational exhibit presented by the Seaway Valley Prevention Council (SVPC) illustrating the many ways that drug paraphernalia can be hidden, sometimes in plain view, in a youth's bedroom. The goal is to create awareness around signs of substance use. Speakers from SVPC and CPH's Substance Use Disorder clinic will also present discussions on the dangers of substance use and abuse in St. Lawrence County.

All community members are welcome to visit at any time between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm, and no RSVP is required. For more information, please contact Community Relations Manager Deborah Chase-Lauther, at (315) 261-5413, or dchaselauther@cphospital.org.
