CPH Hosts Advances in Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment, with
Dr. Stephen B. Edge, Dr. Velmalia Matthews-Smith, and Dr. Jay Dewell, October 1, 2017

Potsdam, NY – Canton-Potsdam Hospital hosted a community talk on Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment on October 1, 2017, in the Barben Rooms of Clarkson University with 42 community members in attendance. Guest speakers were Dr. Stephen B. Edge, Roswell Park Cancer Institute; Dr. Velmalia Matthews-Smith, CPH's Center for Cancer Care, and Dr. Jay Dewell, Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Dr. Edge is a National Cancer Institute Fellow and has been a leader in the field of surgical oncology at Roswell Park for twenty years. Dr. Matthews-Smith is a medical oncologist at Canton-Potsdam Hospital's Center for Cancer Care. Dr. Dewell is a general surgeon, with a subspecialty in breast surgery at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
