Feet hanging off of a bed. Sleep Medicine Center at Canton-Potsdam Hospital

Sleep Medicine Center

Sweet dreams . . .

Shift-work disorders, sleep apnea, and narcolepsy are just three of the disorders that rob a healthful night's sleep from thousands of people every year in the US and interfere with work productivity, career advancement, college studies, and family/social obligations. Our Sleep Medicine Center can help.

The only Sleep Medicine Center in the North Country headed by a physician who is board certified in sleep medicine, we have four private bedrooms each with the appearance and comfort of a home setting, as well as a separate Technician Room with sophisticated monitoring and audio visual equipment operated by registered polysomnographic technologists.

Upon referral, your first visit typically involves diagnostic testing, with a second night-time visit scheduled for adjustments to treatment (such as CPAP titration) if needed. You are asked to arrive at the Sleep Medicine Center at 8PM and are discharged at 6AM the next morning.

The Sleep Medicine Center is located on the main hospital campus in Potsdam on the lower level of the red-brick building across the parking lot from our Emergency Department entrance. Parking for the Sleep Medicine Center is directly outside its entrance.
