Marques-Seaman Named CPH Employee of the Month for January

Canton-Potsdam Hospital employees selected Debra Marques-Seaman, RN, Director of Medical Surgical Units and Critical Care, as Employee of the Month for January 2012. Since joining the Hospital in 2007, Marques-Seaman has welcomed and embraced growth and educational opportunities; after just two years, she accepted the position of Assistant Director and was later named Director of Medical Surgical Care and Critical Care in 2011. Her colleagues describe her as a team leader, role model, and exceptional listener, who never appears to tire or become distressed.

"Debra's ambition, loyalty and compassion inspire others to excel, said Cathy Schantz, Vice President of Patient Care Services. "She takes patient care very seriously and makes safety an ongoing priority. Her participation on committees and teams is well-respected and appreciated by colleagues and providers alike," continued Schantz.

In addition to an arrangement of flowers, Marques-Seaman was also presented with a pin, gift certificates and a designated parking space.
