Did you know that you don’t need to be a physician or nurse to save, sustain, and improve lives? Our donors do it every day.
Last year 905 donors contributed to our Hospital Foundation. Their annual contributions, totaling more than $400,000, helped our Hospital to purchase new equipment, add services for our patients, and improve our facilities.
Recent projects include the addition of new treatment rooms in our Emergency Department, purchase of power equipment used for Orthopedic surgeries, and a new Laboratory analyzer which rapidly detects MRSA and other resistant and virulent infections.
We were also honored to receive two bequests from local residents last year, totaling $25,000. These “legacy gifts” were added to our Foundation’s long-term investments. In recent years we’ve used those invested funds as collateral for loans to improve the EJ Noble Building in Canton, and to purchase the former St. Mary’s School in Potsdam, which is being converted to physician office space.
The Foundation is truly integral to our Hospital’s success. Likewise, the 905 donors who contributed in 2009 are integral to our Foundation’s success.
We offer our thanks to each of our generous donors; and invite everyone in our community to follow their good example.
