DiCoby Moves to Lawrence Avenue
Dr. Tatiana DiCoby, an OB/GYN specialist with Canton-Potsdam Hospital, will become the second practitioner whose practice is located in new medical office space at the CPH Lawrence Avenue Medical Campus at 49 Lawrence Avenue in Potsdam (the former St. Mary’s School). Dr. DiCoby will begin seeing patients in the new location Monday, December 7, 2009.
Local contractors have been renovating the former school building in an effort to make more space available for newly recruited physicians. Dr. Kris VanWagner, an ophthalmologist, was the first to occupy the building. Dr. Edward Mazdzer, a visiting neurologist, and Dr. Michael Ricci, visiting vascular surgeon, hold clinics in a specialty suite in the building. They will be joined by other specialists who visit the area to provide services on a rotating basis. Dr. Anthony Tramontano, a cardiologist recently recruited to CPH with assistance from Fletcher Allen Health Care of Burlington, Vermont, is slated to move his medical office from 15 Raymond Street in Potsdam to the Lawrence Avenue Medical Campus when his space is ready early in the New Year.
Dr. DiCoby received her medical training at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY. Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. DiCoby completed a Master of Science in biochemical pharmacology and completed a thesis on genetics. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY, and at Metropolitan Hospital Center, where she was also Executive Chief Resident. She is certified by the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. DiCoby provides comprehensive medical and surgical women’s health services throughout all stages of womanhood, and can serve as a primary care physician. She assesses and treats diseases and disorders of the reproductive system, is an expert in all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth, and assists women through the many physical and emotional changes associated with menopause. She also focuses on preventative health screenings for women.
