The Department of Physical Rehabilitation at Canton-Potsdam Hospital offers physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to patients in the hospital, and on an outpatient basis. The Department is affiliated with Clarkson University's Physical Therapy Department. We have two off site locations in Canton and Potsdam.

Outpatient physical therapy is available at both locations. We provide evaluation and treatment of:
Sprains, strains and joint injuries
Sport related injuries
Post Surgical conditions
Back and neck pain/injuries
Arthritic Conditions
Burn/wound care
Stroke
Neurological Disorders

Our Occupational therapy services are available in our Potsdam location. We provide assessment and treatment of:
Cognitive and perceptual skills
Self care and home management skills
Hand Injuries
Social/behavior skills
Leisure participation
Musculoskeletal disorders
Activities of daily living
Upper extremity functional skills

Our speech therapy services are available in our Potsdam location. We provide assessment and treatment of:
Speech and Language
Oral motor function
Swallowing
Voice and articulation
Cognition
 

Our Comprehensive Rehabilitation department is located in Potsdam. We provide all three therapies (Occupational, Physical and Speech) tailored to individual patient needs. Within Comprehensive Rehabilitation, we provide evaluation and treatment of a wide array of diagnoses including:
Traumatic Brain injury
Stroke
Spinal cord injuries
Post concussive syndrome
Amputation
Neurological Disorders
Multiple Trauma
