If you or someone you know has breast cancer, now you can
connect to all of the elements of the Breast Cancer Health Navigation
Program. It's a big name for a lot of big services. The program offers
emotional support and education to ensure our patients know all of
their options and understand exactly what to expect during their
testing and treatment. For women who are diagnosed
with breast cancer, the options, procedures, time-lines and appointments
can seem confusing and overwhelming. Our navigators:
- Arrange and coordinates appointments for physician office visits, diagnostic testing, and surgery
- Ensure that our patients understand what is happening and why
- Coordinate referrals to community resources, such as support groups, social services and financial aid
Our Breast Health Navigators are consistent points of contact for
questions, emotional support, and referrals. They can help you work
through the emotional issues intertwined with difficult treatment
decisions by listening, talking, and putting you in touch with people
who understand and know how to help.
