Afterhours Healthcare
Afterhours Healthcare is designed to meet the health care needs of the entire family, from newborn to geriatrics, for prompt treatment of minor injuries and illnesses after regular office hours. Afterhours sees patients on a walk-in basis. We generally do not schedule appointments.

The Afterhours healthcare center is located at 80 East Main Street, Canton in the EJ Noble Building, in the lower level. The Center is staffed by a combination of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, with support from nursing and clerical personnel. Medical services include non-emergency medical conditions for minor injuries and illnesses, and physicals for employment, camp, school, and other institutions (depending on wait times).

Physicians are members of Canton-Potsdam Hospital's medical staff and meet the credentialing standards of the hospital. They have admitting privileges for patients who may require hospitalization. Nurse Practitioners and physician assistants are fully reviewed.

Norfolk Community Health Center
Norfolk Community Health Center is designed to meet the health care needs of the entire family, from newborn to Senior Citizen.  The Center provides convenient, affordable, quality health care to Norfolk and the surrounding communities.  It is located at 35 West Main Street, Norfolk, New York.

The Center has very affordable rates and participates in many insurance programs. The center is staffed by a combination of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, with support from nursing and clerical personnel. Physicians are members of Canton-Potsdam Hospital's medical staff and meet the credentialing standards of the hospital. They have admitting privileges for patients who may require hospitalization. Nurse Practitioners and physician assistants are fully reviewed.

Mark Hankins, FNP, sees patients regularly at the center. Medical services include physical examinations, pediatrics, immunization, gynecology,  including pap smears, breast exams, contraception, and hormone replacement, minor injury treatment, minor surgical procedures, management of medical conditions including  diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol control, heart disease, and pulmonary conditions.

Viral Hepatitis Clinic: sees referrals for individuals afflicted with viral hepatitis in St. Lawrence County, for education, diagnosis, and treatment.

Psychiatry

In addition to treating Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s inpatients and outpatients, the medical staff will consult, as requested, with the Hospital’s Emergency and Rehabilitation departments, as well as other physicians. The Psychiatry Clinic located at 20 Cottage Street in Potsdam.
