Sharps Disposal Program.  Using an approved, leak-proof, puncture-resistant container, community members should bring used sharps (including needles, syringes, and lancets) to the Hospital for safe disposal. Used Sharps will be accepted Monday through Sunday from 10AM – 2PM at any Patient Registration Desk. Free, pre-approved containers are available upon request at the registration desk. If you prefer, emtpy bleach and/or laundry bottles are considered secure and appropriate for transporting used sharps as long as they are clearly marked with your name and the words "Biohazard" or "Contains Needles".  It's extremely important to remember milk jugs or cartons, plastic soda bottles, or coffee cans are unsafe for transport.  In consideration for the wellbeing and protection of our staff and the individual discarding used sharps, we cannot accept these unauthorized containers at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Support Groups - Now and then, everyone needs some good advice or friendly support. Canton-Potsdam Hospital is here for you in many ways, including a range of excellent support groups. (See full list below)
